Principium was a self directed project. I chose to look into the history of the knights of templar. The format is based on books that only use pictures in the main body of the book to show the subject matter. I designed it using Illustrator and Photoshop. With this project I was using a new method of breaking images down into two layers so I could have two colors per subject. The colors that I used are rooted in either the country or group that each subject is supposed to represent. The background colors are representing the war, protection and other concepts that those colors could possibly represent.
